IBIKUNLE AMOSUN'S CUSTOMISED FILA CAPS

The Governor of Ogun State, Nigeria, Ibikunle Amosun has popularized a unique long triangular shaped Yoruba traditional cap. The traditional Yoruba cap that men wear is called Fila, no matter what the style is. It’s usually made out of Aso Oke. Apart from Aso Oke, they use different other fabrics like damask, velvet, linen, or cotton to create nice Fila caps. Yoruba fila caps have become so popular in Nigeria that other tribes now wear them to their own traditional occasions. It is a common sight to see Igbo men wearing fila caps for their traditional wedding ceremonies!
